The superheroes Deadpool and Wolverine, brought together in the latest installment of the Marvel saga, have retained their top spot at the French box office for the second consecutive week, now nearing two million admissions, according to data from CBO Box-Office released on Wednesday. This film, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, is also a hit in the United States, where it has grossed over 400 million dollars in just about ten days of screening.
In France, it leads ahead of “Le Comte de Monte-Cristo,” a new adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ novel featuring Pierre Niney, which is approaching six million admissions, and two animated features, “Despicable Me 4” and “Inside Out 2.” The French comedy phenomenon “Un P’tit truc en plus” has attracted nearly 170,000 spectators in its 14th week and is slowly nearing 10 million tickets sold (9.81 million).
